Abstrakt: This article, published in the Journal of Neurological Surgery, discusses the use of an endoscopic transorbital-supraorbital combined approach for the treatment of a Pott puffy tumor, epidural abscess, and orbital subperiosteal abscess. The case study involves a 59-year-old female who presented with symptoms including headaches, sinus congestion, fevers, and right eye proptosis. The patient underwent abscess evacuation and orbital decompression using the endoscopic combined approach, which involved an eyelid incision, supraorbital craniotomy, and endonasal approach. The patient had a successful outcome and was discharged neurologically intact. The article concludes that the endoscopic transorbital approach is a minimally invasive technique that can provide expanded access to the anterior skull base. [Extracted from the article]
