Abstrakt: This article discusses the surgical treatment of collision tumors of the skull base in patients with neurofibromatosis-2 (NF2). These tumors are rare and known to grow rapidly and behave aggressively. The study analyzed data from 11 patients who underwent surgery for these tumors between 2009 and 2023. The results showed that gross total resection was not feasible in any of the cases, and revision surgeries were performed every 4.6 years on average. The study suggests that a strategy of palliative, serial debulking can provide sufficient time between surgeries and maintain an acceptable quality of life for patients. [Extracted from the article]
