Abstrakt: This article, titled "Complications Associated with an Extensively Pneumatized Skull Base: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis," explores the relationship between hyperpneumatization (excessive air spaces) in the skull base and various complications such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, skull base fractures, and infections. The authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of relevant literature to investigate this topic. The findings suggest that hyperpneumatization may increase the risk of complications, including CSF leaks, infections, and skull base fractures. The study highlights the importance of recognizing and addressing hyperpneumatization in the preoperative stage to prevent complications. Further research is needed to fully understand this relationship. [Extracted from the article]
