Abstrakt: This article discusses the treatment of patients with growth hormone-secreting pituitary adenomas (PA) in a regional medical center and compares the results with the data from the Russian National Register. The study included 257 patients who underwent surgery and medication at a single institution, with 94.5% of patients undergoing surgery as the primary treatment. The results showed that 45.1% of patients achieved complete remission of acromegaly after surgery, and an additional 29.8% achieved biochemical control of the disease with medication. The study also found that the prevalence of complete postoperative disease control in the regional medical center was higher than the national average. [Extracted from the article]
