This article discusses the clinical outcomes of patients with petrous meningiomas (PMs) who underwent surgery using the retrosigmoid approach (RSA). The study classified PMs based on their dural attachment site and compared the results between different tumor types. The results showed that patients with petroclival meningiomas (PCMs) had worse outcomes compared to those with posterior petrous meningiomas (PPMs) and petrous apex meningiomas (PAMs). The study suggests that the proposed classification can be a reliable tool for predicting clinical outcomes in patients with petrous and clival meningiomas. [Extracted from the article] |
