Abstrakt: This article discusses the development and validation of a DNA methylation-based predictor for meningioma recurrence risk and molecular classification. Meningiomas are known to have significant heterogeneity, making it difficult to accurately predict prognosis using current classifications. The study utilized prospectively collected samples from multiple institutions to confirm the utility of the predictor in prognosticating meningioma patients and informing selection for adjuvant radiotherapy. The DNA methylation-based predictor outperformed the conventional WHO classification in predicting outcome and may be useful for real-time prognostication, patient counseling, and referral for adjuvant radiotherapy.
