Abstrakt: This article discusses the feasibility of preserving olfaction in patients undergoing surgical resection for olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB), a rare type of malignancy. The study conducted a systematic review of 35 patients who underwent unilateral resection of ONB and also reviewed the records of 8 patients treated at their institution. The results showed that preservation of olfaction was possible in some cases, but up to 25.58% of patients experienced anosmia post-treatment. It is important to continue monitoring patients for recurrence, as the average follow-up duration may not rule out the potential for late recurrence. [Extracted from the article]
