Abstrakt: One of the requirements of pepper seedlings following SNI 2006 is healthy seedlings with 5–7 internodes in length. It will take at least 5–7 months to achieve these characteristics since internodes will grow monthly. The internode formation can be enhanced by utilizing endophytic bacteria in the form of biological formulas. The research aimed to obtain a biological formula from endophytic bacteria that can accelerate plant growth to get standardized pepper seedlings. The trial was arranged in a completely randomized block design, repeated three times. Eleven treatments tested were 1) control, 2) PGPA formula, 3) PGPA1 formula, 4) PGPA2 formula, 5) PGPB formula, 6) PGPB1 formula, 7) PGPB2 formula, 8) PGPC formula, 9) PGPC1 formula, 10) PGPC2 formula, and 11) cow manure (SOP). These research results showed that plants applied with PGPA formula indicated the best growth, followed by the PGPA1 formula and the PGPA2 formula. At 3 months after planting (MAP), pepper seedlings had 4.97–5.83 internodes; at 4 MAP, 6.0–7.33 internodes, whereas at 5 MAP, it was 6.77–7.63 internodes. This result was higher than the control and SOP treatments. To conclude, the application of certain endophytic bacteria biological formula in a crumb form (PGPA) could produce standardized pepper seeds 2–3 months faster than usual. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
