Abstrakt: We report the fabrication and basic characteristics of a multiterminal SINIS device which has electrical leads connected to the middle N layer; here S, I, and N denote a superconductor (Nb), an insulator (AlOx), and a normal metal (Al), respectively. We studied the behavior of the Josephson current through all layers on an injection current passing through one of the individual (NIS) junctions and along the N layer, as well as the influence of the injection current from one junction on the current–voltage characteristic of the other. In the latter case, a current gain and power gain, and good isolation between the input and output were observed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
