Abstrakt: This article discusses the outcomes of laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal closure (LPEC) for the treatment of inguinal hernias in young adults. The study found that LPEC is a viable alternative for young adult patients, with a 0% recurrence rate after LPEC. The article also explores different approaches to laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair and highlights the increasing use of LPEC due to its ease of use and positive results. However, the long-term effects of LPEC on reproductive function and the possibility of late-onset recurrence are still areas of concern. The authors commend the study for bringing attention to this topic in the field of hernia repair. [Extracted from the article]
