Abstrakt: This article describes the case of a 49-year-old man who was hospitalized with acute heart failure and suspected acute myocarditis. The patient underwent an endomyocardial biopsy, which revealed a diagnosis of giant cell myocarditis (GCM). Despite treatment with immunosuppressive therapy, the patient's condition did not improve, and he ultimately received a heart transplant. The article provides a detailed description of the histological findings and discusses the rarity and pathogenesis of GCM.
