Abstrakt: Ramogi Huma, the executive director of the National College Players Association (NCPA), has been advocating for the rights of college athletes since 2001. Huma's work has focused on addressing racial dynamics and the financial disparities faced by predominantly Black athletes. He co-authored a report in 2020 that highlighted how the NCAA's system robs these athletes of billions in generational wealth. Huma's efforts have led to progress, such as athletes being able to capitalize on their name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights. However, he continues to fight for further reforms, including revenue sharing and the classification of college athletes as employees. [Extracted from the article]
