Experiment with 48Ca beam on 238U target to produce 283Cn superheavy nucleus was performed at the new gas-filled separator DGFRS-2 on-line to the new cyclotron DC-280 at the SHE Factory at JINR. The maximum beam intensity of 48Ca was 6.5 pµA and a total beam dose of 2.6×1019 was collected. Target stability was measured at high intensities of heavy ion beams. 16 decay chains of 283Cn were observed in the 238U+48Ca reaction. The decay properties of 283Cn, as well as its α-decay products, were refined. The cross section for the 238U(48Ca,3n)283Cn reaction was measured. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
