Abstrakt: A recent study conducted in China investigated factors associated with dysphagia screening (DS) and the development of pneumonia in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The study found that 81.6% of patients with ICH underwent DS, and 23.0% developed pneumonia. Older age, severe strokes, dysphagia, heart failure, and smoking were identified as risk factors for pneumonia. The study concluded that there is a need to increase the rate of DS in patients with ICH, especially those with severe stroke or older, and further research is needed to determine the effectiveness of DS on clinical outcomes.
