Abstrakt: This article discusses the collaboration between G&W Electric, a power equipment manufacturer, and Commonwealth Edison Co. (ComEd), a local utility, to implement a microgrid project. The project aimed to provide uninterrupted power and protect against external grid failures. ComEd and G&W Electric followed six key steps, including assembling a dedicated project team, defining the project scope, conducting studies, overcommunicating, testing the equipment, and transitioning to live operation.
