The article focuses on the techniques of isolation in clinical dentistry, comparing Optragate and rubber dam methods. It reports that while Optragate provides good soft tissue retraction and visibility, its efficacy for posterior teeth is inferior to rubber dam, which offers absolute isolation and numerous advantages in dental procedures. It highlights the importance of selecting the right rubber dam sheet based on tear strength, size, and thickness, and the use of rubber dam equipment. |
