Topics discussed include the annual literary festival Poetry Days in Latvia in 2023, the view of Latvian poet Liana Langa that contemporary poetry is very much in decline, because people mostly read poems in free verse, and the author's view that Latvian poetry is steadily moving away from an imagined universality and instead focusing on the particular and the ephemeral. |
