This article discusses a case of a 52-year-old man with a complex movement disorder characterized by prominent tic-like movements. The patient was diagnosed with IgLON 5 antibody disease, a recently discovered autoimmune neurological disorder. The movements interfered with the patient's sleep and caused distress. Treatment with immunosuppression resulted in improvement of the tic-like movements. This case expands the clinical spectrum of IgLON 5 antibody disease and highlights the importance of considering immune markers in patients with suggestive symptoms. [Extracted from the article] |
