Abstrakt: |
This article discusses a case of a 55-year-old woman who experienced progressively worsening dyspnea after a motor vehicle accident. The accident resulted in a compound fracture of her leg and significant abdominal bruising. Upon examination, it was discovered that she had a large diaphragmatic rupture with herniation of multiple abdominal organs into her right chest. The patient underwent surgical management to repair the diaphragmatic defect and experienced an uncomplicated postoperative course. The article emphasizes the importance of early recognition and diagnosis of traumatic diaphragmatic injuries to prevent complications. [Extracted from the article] |
