Abstrakt: |
This article discusses the use of a picosecond Q-switched (QS) 785 nm laser for the treatment of lip hyperpigmentation, specifically labial melanotic macules. Labial melanotic macules are pigmented benign macules that cause distress to many patients, although treatment is not necessary. The study found that the use of the 785 nm wavelength laser resulted in almost complete resolution of the hyperpigmentation with no side effects or pain. The technology was well-tolerated by the patient and had no negative long-term effects. The data supporting these findings are available upon request from the corresponding author.
