A researcher from Vilnius University in Lithuania has conducted a study on intermittent claudication, a condition that causes pain and cramping in the legs during physical activity. The study aimed to validate the Lithuanian version of the Walking Impairment Questionnaire (WIQ) in patients with intermittent claudication. The results showed that the culturally adapted Lithuanian WIQ version demonstrated reliability and validity, as supported by two different walking tests. This research provides valuable insights into the assessment of walking impairment in patients with peripheral arterial disease. [Extracted from the article] |
