Abstrakt: | A study conducted by researchers from Semnan University of Medical Sciences in Iran explored the impact of teaching communication skills to mothers of children with cerebral palsy (CP) in reducing behavioral problems in these children. The study involved 42 mothers with children aged 4-10 years diagnosed with CP. The experimental group received nine 90-minute training sessions to improve their communication with their children, while the control group received no intervention. The results showed that equipping mothers with effective communication skills led to changes in their interactions with their children and potentially reduced behavioral problems in these children. The study suggests that communication skills training programs should be considered as part of therapeutic strategies for children with CP. [Extracted from the article] |
