Researchers from Sun Yat-sen University in Shenzhen, China have developed fully synthetic phosphorylated Tau calibrators for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). The commonly used calibrator, GSK3b-phosphorylated Tau-441, has issues with batch-to-batch inconsistency. The researchers successfully generated and validated three novel calibrators for p-Tau immunoassays, which solved the inconsistency issue. These calibrators have the potential to standardize clinical AD diagnostic calibrators and improve the accuracy of AD diagnosis. [Extracted from the article] |
