A recent report discusses research on biomarkers and their association with musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The study focuses on the impact of radon spa treatment on osteoclastogenesis and bone resorption. The findings suggest that radon spa treatment leads to a decrease in bone erosion markers and a smaller fraction of mature osteoclasts. Additionally, the treatment affects the Treg cell population and the Th17/Treg ratio, indicating the involvement of the immune system. However, the study concludes that radon alone is not solely responsible for the effects on bone metabolism. [Extracted from the article] |
