Abstrakt: A study conducted at the University of Sonora in Hermosillo, Mexico, explored the use of rifampicin-loaded PLGA nanoparticles for the treatment of Brucella canis infection in mice. The nanoparticles were found to be stable and effectively released the drug over a period of 30 days. When administered to infected mice, the nanoparticles significantly reduced the B. canis load in the spleen, demonstrating their improved efficacy compared to the free drug. The study suggests that rifampicin-loaded PLGA nanoparticles hold promise as a potential alternative treatment for B. canis. [Extracted from the article]
