Abstrakt: There have been numerous discussions regarding diagnosing and revascularization options for acute mesenteric ischemia to improve its dire outcome. However, equally important is the management of the complications following successful intestinal revascularization. Refeeding syndrome (RS) is one the possible complications, yet there has been lack of report in the literature on this condition following intestinal revascularization. Here, we present a case of acute embolic mesenteric ischemia (AEMI) with RS as one of its complications despite the patient being categorized as low risk to develop it. This report discusses and highlights the key point at each stage of patient's management, especially the importance of identifying and early treatment of complications post intestinal revascularization.
