Abstrakt: An important direction in the field of plant breeding as a branch and in the scientific research process is the creation and breeding of maize hybrids resistant to pathogens. The most effective method of combating economically important diseases is the selection of resistant varieties. Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon is a common disease in most parts of the world where maize is grown. Attack by the pathogen results in stunted growth of the host plant and reduced yields. The purpose of the study was to determine the degree of attack of maize hybrids by Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon in conditions favorable to the development of the pathogen. It was held at the Experimental Field of the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science "Obratzov Chiflik" - Ruse, Agricultural Academy - Sofia, during the period 2018-2020 with an artificial infectious background. A total of 30 geneplasms from preliminary varietal experience were included. Phytopathological readings were carried out in the months of July and August in the phases of sweeping and milk-wax maturity of the corn. Data analysis shows that the geneplasms: St.-20, Ekc. 24-1-18, Ekc.1- 1-18, Ekc.2-1-18, Ekc.3-1-18, Ekc.-4-1- 18, Ekc.5-1-18, Ekc.6-1-18, St.-7, Ekc.9- 1-18, St.-13, Ekc. 14-1-18, Ekc.17-1-18, Ekc.18-1-18, Ekc.19-1-18, Ekc.20-1-18, Ekc 21-1-18, Ekc 25-1-18, St.-26, St.-21, Ekc.1-17, Ekc.2-17, Ekc.3-17 are .sustainable. They should be used as sources of resistance in selection to create resistant lines and hybrids of maize. The following 7 geneplasms are sensitive Ekc.12-1-18, Ekc.15-1-18, Ekc.11-1-18, Ekc. 8-1-18, Ekc.10-1-18, Ekc.23-1-18, Ekc.16-1-18 and should be eliminated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
