The influence of some green pruning operations on the average size of one developed leaf in Storgozia variety has been studied. The research has been conducted at the Experimental Base of the Institute of Viticulture and Enology – Pleven during the period 2014-2020. The green pruning operations were carried out – shoot topping in June and July, thinning of the clusters and thinning in the area of the clusters. It was found that early pruning, carried out at the end of June, contributed to an increase in the size of the leaves from the lateral shoots. Pruning in the month of July has a negative effect on the number of leaves formed on the lateral shoots and in general on the vine, which indicates that this summer pruning cannot compensate the vine plant with the leaves developed after the operation and lateral shoots. The reduction of 1/3 of the clusters has a positive effect compared to the control, on the size of leaf petioles of the main shoots (>3%), lateral shoots (>13%) and the overall average size of one leaf per vine (>6%).
