Abstrakt:	This article presents a discussion of the methods used to complete a community health needs assessment in a rural area. The authors also examine how the results of such a study can be used to strategically market various services to the broader community. The authors note the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) have made changes to the accreditation process of health care organizations that call for an enhanced need for consumer-oriented community health needs assessments.
