Abstrakt: Researchers from the Emanuel Institute of Biochemical Physics in Moscow, Russia, have conducted a study on the incorporation of a product called glycero-(9,10-trioxolane)-trioleate (OTOA) into polylactic acid/polycaprolactone (PLA/PCL) blend films. The study examined the morphological, mechanical, thermal, and antibacterial properties of the films after the addition of OTOA. The results showed that the crystallinity of the films decreased with an increase in OTOA content, except for the film with 20% OTOA, which showed an increase in crystallinity. The films with OTOA concentrations above 20% exhibited a different structure and demonstrated good antibacterial properties. These findings suggest that the developed films could be potentially useful for wound-dressing applications. [Extracted from the article]
