Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Federal University Vicosa in Brazil examined the association between household food insecurity (HFI) and stunting in children aged 0-59 months. The study found that HFI during childhood is linked to poor dietary diversity and malnutrition, which can negatively impact children's growth and development. However, the pooled analysis did not find a sustained association between HFI and stunting, possibly due to high heterogeneity across studies. The researchers concluded that while individual studies showed an association, more research is needed to better understand this relationship. [Extracted from the article]
