Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom examined the use of teleconsultations in pediatric dermatology. The researchers collected data from outpatient consultations over a period of six weeks and found that most consultations were conducted in person, with only 38% being teleconsultations. The median duration of consultations was 13 minutes and 45 seconds, with no significant difference in duration between face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations. The researchers noted that the complexity of the case often influenced the choice of consultation modality. They also mentioned the need for further research to determine the cost-effectiveness of teleconsultations. [Extracted from the article]
