Abstrakt: |
A recent study conducted at Neyshabur University of Medical Sciences in Iran examined the association between sleep duration and depression and anxiety in freshman medical students. The study found that inadequate sleep was associated with higher odds of moderate and severe depression, as well as moderate anxiety. The prevalence of inadequate sleep among participants was 41.8%, while the prevalence of excessive sleep was 6.4%. The researchers concluded that inadequate sleep can increase the risk of mental disorders and recommended the development of psychological interventions to prevent anxiety and depression in students.
