Abstrakt: Researchers at the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland have synthesized and characterized four copper(II) complexes derived from 1-(isoquinolin-3-yl)heteroalkyl-2-one ligands. The stability of these complexes under physiological conditions was evaluated, and their antiproliferative activity was tested on various cancer cell lines. The copper(II) compound C2 showed promising results, selectively targeting cancer cells and enhancing the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapeutic drugs. Additionally, the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of the compounds were assessed. The study concluded that copper(II) complex C4 exhibited the strongest antioxidant properties.
