Abstrakt: It is a pressing issue for all climate related observations to perform not only accurate measurements but also provide a clear traceability link to the International System of Units (SI). It clarifies the processing of long term data from various types of instruments and facilitates building reliable models for tracking of climate changes, such as through atmospheric aerosols. The present work is about a radiometric characterisation of the spectroradiometer MS-711 provided by EKO Instruments Europe. The SI-traceable spectral irradiance responsivity, calibrated in the traditional way, and its uncertainty are calculated. Results of calculation and application of the spectral stray light correction matrix are discussed, followed by a discussion of some of the important contributions to the uncertainty budget.
