Abstrakt: A neurological condition that affects elderly people, Alzheimer's disease progresses over time. The most typical dementia-causing factor is it. The formation of senile plaques in the brain's hippocampus region is linked to it and the deposition of beta-amyloid protein. The contributing factors have not yet been identified. Around 45000 different plant species may be found in India, many of which have therapeutic use. 1500 plants are described in ancient writings as having therapeutic benefits, however, only around 800 of those plants have been employed in traditional medicine. To assess memory and cognitive performance, participants engaged in activities designed to enhance memory. The participants went through Morris Water Mazes, Elevated Plus Mazes, Conditioned Avoidance Tests and Y-Maze Spontaneous Alternation Tests. Also examined was locomotor activity. Superoxide dismutase, lipid peroxidation test, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), reduced glutathione content, acetylcholinesterase activity and other tests were performed on the brain homogenate. Additionally, histopathological examination of the brain was conducted to further investigate its condition. Aerial parts of the M. pruriens plant were found to have a 32% yield value for methanol extract. Only methanolic extracts are chosen for future research, depending on the quantity of chemical constituents available. Based on Guideline 423, the hazardous dosages were chosen.
