This article presents abstracts of several previously published articles and research papers on cardiac pacing. Abstract of the article "Conduction Abnormalities Due to Lateral Instabilities or the Excitation Wavefront in Isolated Cardiac Muscle," by Candido Cabo and colleagues, summarizes findings of the study assessing conduction abnormalities of heart which was caused due to lateral instabilities of excitation wavefront in cardiac muscles. Abstract of the article "In Situ Optical Action Potential Recordings or Defibrillation in Swine," by Volker Menz and colleagues, reports on the electrocardiographic findings of defibrillation in Swine which was performed by means of optical recording methods. Abstract of the article "Excitation With High Frequency Alternating and Pulsed Direct Current Defibrillator Waveforms in Isolated Rabbit Hearts," by Janice Jones and colleagues, summarizes the study which tested the hypothesis that myocardial sarcolemma excitation at high frequency is frequency independent for pulsed direct current, but not alternating current. |
