Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch examined the use of YouTube and TikTok as sources of medical information on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. The study found that out of the top 60 videos on each platform, only 51.7% of YouTube videos were deemed useful, while only 5.2% of TikTok videos were considered useful. The researchers concluded that healthcare professionals and organizations should focus on creating high-quality content and increasing engagement on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, in order to educate users about DID. It is important to note that this study only focused on English videos and did not evaluate other social media platforms. [Extracted from the article]
