A recent qualitative study conducted in Genoa, Italy, explored the impact of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on the quality of life (QoL) of parents. The study involved 31 parents of children with ASD who were undergoing a multidisciplinary intervention. The findings revealed that living with a child with ASD can significantly influence parents' QoL, not only in terms of physical and emotional aspects but also in relation to general goals, family structure, and social interactions. The study also identified factors that contribute to improvements in parental QoL and highlighted the importance of interventions that address these factors. [Extracted from the article] |
