Abstrakt: A study conducted at the University of California Harbor-UCLA Medical Center examined the role of primary care physicians (PCPs) in the screening and diagnosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) in underserved populations. The study found that patients with a PCP were diagnosed at earlier stages of CRC compared to those without a PCP. This highlights the importance of PCPs in CRC diagnosis and emphasizes the need for their active involvement in the screening process. The study also found that having a PCP was not associated with an increase in the number of adenomas or tumor size. [Extracted from the article]
