This article explores the development of a self-emulsifying drug delivery system (SEDDS) to improve the solubility of the anticonvulsant drug Galodif in water. Galodif is currently limited in its therapeutic use due to its poor solubility. The study found that the SEDDS formulations significantly increased the solubility of Galodif in water compared to its tablet form. The use of SEDDS offers advantages such as increased bioavailability, faster onset of action, lower dosage, and reduced side effects. The ingredients used in the SEDDS are readily available, safe, and approved for use in pharmaceutical formulations. [Extracted from the article] |
