Abstrakt: The article focuses on the establishment and functioning of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) in response to transnational corruption cases affecting the European Union's financial interests. Topics include the challenges of coordinating investigations under differing national legal frameworks, the prevalence and costs of transnational corruption, and the historical tensions between a centralized European prosecution model and the intergovernmental approach adopted for the EPPO.
