This letter discusses the prognostic value of CZT SPECT stress myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantification in patients with ischemia and no obstructive coronary artery disease (INOCA). The authors conducted a study on 118 patients and found that both stress MBF and coronary flow reserve (CFR) were significantly lower in patients who experienced major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs). Stress MBF was found to be a better predictor of MACEs compared to CFR. The authors also discussed the feasibility and reproducibility of MBF calculation using CZT SPECT. They suggest that a stress-first/stress-only protocol can simplify the process and expand MBF quantification to a larger number of patients. [Extracted from the article] |
