The letter to the editor discusses a study that found an inverse correlation between metabolic tumor volume (MTV) and liver standardized uptake value (SUV) in lymphoma patients. The authors speculate that the increase in liver SUV after treatment may be due to changes in blood pool activity rather than hepatic metabolic activity. They also suggest caution in using SUVmean as the preferred metric for liver FDG accumulation, as fatty liver can influence SUV measurements. The authors declare no competing interests.
