In contemporary society, given the ever-increasing place it occupies, from the earliest ages, media and technology in children's lives, a coherent and responsible approach is required to familiarize them with the implications of the information disseminated, with emphasis on receiving and decoding messages transmitted by media, on differentiating false / misleading / manipulative information, on critical reporting on messages, etc. In this context, the objective of this article is to identify references to media literacy in two types of documents: (a) the compulsory curriculum for primary school, in Romania; (b) lists of activities that schools (from urban and rural areas) in Romania have proposed for the "School differently" program. The identified elements will represent premises for analyses and projections at the primary school level, regarding both the exploitation of data from the compulsory curriculum, and the design of activities that involve media literacy.
