A new report from researchers at Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City explores the effect of exercise on IL-15 levels and survival prognosis in adult patients with Type B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The study found that while IL-15 levels did not significantly change in any of the exercise groups, 87.5% of patients who received exercise intervention achieved remission, compared to only 21.73% who experienced a relapse. The researchers concluded that resistance exercises may improve survival prognosis and reduce relapses in patients with ALL. The study did not report any deaths during the study period.
