A case report from Maastricht University Medical Center in the Netherlands discusses a rare manifestation of multiple myeloma, a malignant plasma cell disorder that primarily affects the bone marrow. The report focuses on a 73-year-old male patient who presented with dysphasia and weakness. MRI revealed a solid left frontal mass with significant mass-effect, along with hemi-dural thickening and enhancement. The patient underwent surgical resection of the tumor, and chemotherapy was started. The report concludes that the role of surgery and radiotherapy in postoperative treatment is not established, and further investigation is needed for the extensive hemi-dural thickening and enhancement observed in this case.
