A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain examined the prevalence and effects of sexual harassment victimization on the mental health of school-aged adolescents. The study found that sexual harassment is a significant problem among adolescents, with a prevalence rate of 24.1%. The research also revealed that sexual harassment has adverse effects on both internalizing and externalizing mental health problems, with adolescent females being more affected than males. The study emphasizes the need for prevention and intervention programs to address this issue and improve the well-being of adolescents. [Extracted from the article] |
