A recent report from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, explores the developmental trajectories of self-control in emerging adulthood among Chinese college students. The study found that Chinese college students generally experienced a stable but decreasing trend in self-control development. However, students with higher initial levels or increasing rates of self-control showed greater improvement in academic, psychological, and career development over time. The research emphasizes the importance of self-regulatory processes and enhancing self-control for the well-rounded development of college students. [Extracted from the article] |
