Abstrakt: | Researchers from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico have conducted a study on the impact of blood groups on the erythroprotective potential of various antioxidants, including ascorbic acid. The study found that these antioxidants exhibited a high antioxidant capacity and provided erythroprotective effects dependent on the blood group, with increased effects in the presence of antigen A. The researchers suggest that these compounds could be used as therapeutic agents against oxidative stress and may be beneficial for groups most susceptible to certain chronic-degenerative pathologies. The full study can be accessed for free online. [Extracted from the article] |
